phoenix claws

they talk about "writers' block". what about "chef's block"?

angie was sharing how she gets tired of her own cooking sometimes. i do too...

so i'm so tempted to put up this pix of my latest dish - J's fav dim sum dish. marinated overnight & simmered for 2 hr. enjoy...

roar, snap, baa

he surprised us with his good mood in trying out various halloween costumes so...

over here, it seems like halloween is the 2nd most "celebrated" event, next to Christmas.

i'm the king of the jungle. hear me roooooooar!

A for alligator, C for crocodile

baa baa brown sheep

fried ernie

after lorraine cooked green bean casserole for us at her place, this has become quite a regular dish on our table.

next to broccoli, this is the only other green veg the boys would eat.

they love the fried French onions. especially after it has been "crisped" up in the oven. yum!

jerald calls it "fried ernie". jerome would continue with "fried elmo, fried grover, fried big bird..." :)

disney studios - day 4

our disney resort & shuttle

somehow it just tastes better with mickey ears :)

toy story party bash

our friend got so bored with the party, he ran, tripped & fell. the cashier back at our resort felt so sorry for him, she gave him many stickers. :) sweet gesture

behind the scene tour

J in NY with the boys

note red car drives in reverse. actually it's just the car shell that is in reverse, the driver is not. haha

jerome's fav 3D show. not 4D with interactive like the rest, so less frightening for jr.

toy story. 3D shooting. fun! it's so HOT, tickets run out by noon.

epcot disney day 3

epcot - the place you can travel around the world in a day
more mickey ice cream. yum!

norway - the land of trolls & vikings!

J's great idea of double stroller - 1 in the basket

germany with its tiny railway set & trains going choo-choo

africa & france

morocco & america. i was so moved when they invited the future generation of americans to step forward to say the american pledge. reminds me so much of home.

japan - the place with the best food ever in the whole of disney. the boys gobbled up all the teriyaki chicken udon while we enjoyed the beef don, tempura & sushi. yum!

china- we had to stay for dinner - noodles! for the boys. we even gave up a photo with CSI : Miami's Eric in our rush to China. sigh, there should always be time for a pix... =)

sorting stuff

a look at another blog led to this sorting activity with containers & lids. nice!

it's fun to do stuff that both of them can accomplish. sometimes the little one tends to get frustrated when he can't do what his big brother can do, like more-than-2-piece puzzles. then he would set to "clean up" or "mess up" before the task is complete. which sets both of them crazy. noooo, 3 of us... =)

first letters

J in red
J in red
O like hoops

a casual coloring activity tonight led to an exciting discovery.

like they *parenting article* say " a scribble a day makes a writer oe day"
summer has been a lazy time for me, spending most of my time outdoors with the kids & rarely engaging them in much other more homeschool kind of stuff. =)

jerome saw me writing his name on the paper & suddenly said he wanted to write his name too.

& so comes his 1st "J" and "O". i guess these were the easiest of his name. cool!

splash pad

must admit i was a little upset to see some Fall clothing making their way to the stores & summer stuff getting on the Clearance racks.

i kept asking J what's this supposed to mean? that summer is coming to an end? i dread the long, dreary cooped up, freezing days in winter. boo hoo...

look at the boys enjoying the splash pad. how can summer end so soon... they should have such great & free places in SG.

animal kingdom

the much awaited mickey ice cream sandwich. yum! the good thing about having 2 boys is they each got an "ear".

Mickey Jungle parade. there were more than these but too lazy to upload. i like minnie's most. girly, with bubbles blowing in the back. sweet. =)

It's tough to be a bug. 3D show. after yesterday's 3D show where water splashed at Belle's party & winds howled around him as storms swept Donald away, Jerome's a little anxious at putting on 3D glasses. what with spitting spiders, stinkbugs, stinging bees & creepy crawlies... HELP!

J loves drums!

i love everest in the background. reminds me of nepal - the land of white clouds & mountains. i sometimes still think of that afternoon with cindy, lying on our backpacks on the grass, looking at the Fishtail Mt - the only mt we could recognise. =) the huge fields of lovely yellow mustard flowers & waking up each morning to a snowcapped mountain in the background of our teahouse. sigh... contentment...

kilimanjaro safari. bringing africa to you. i just love the sight of animals in their natural habitat.

must take pix. heard tons about these bamboo poles that separate the gorillas from us. it's actually made of invincible concrete poles disguised like bamboo. impressed?
mr garang needs no introd to petting zoos. giving goats a scrub.
the pending thunderstorm. the minute we got to the bus station, the skies opened. thank you, Jesus! who else has the power to calm storms.
