chilli! for the chinese in us! think of ut chilli with dark soy sauce with our bak tuk teh. yum!
eggplants cost SG3 per 500g here!
we ate our fill of grape tomatoes there so we didn't pick anymore. burp! excuse me :)
being more observant, J was curious when he saw a neighbor in our community walking around with a cucumber & 2 tomatoes one day. my guess is "sweet & sour pork" hahahah. the following day, we saw him with a cucumber & tomato. he also noticed some other neighbors making their way to the back of a factory.
being the scout he is, we went to take a look one day. to our surprise, there was a garden there with all the vegetables you can pick! yum! FREE!
there were lots of other stuff that we didn't recognise either. i bet our parents would! so much for the "urban-ness" in us. sad...
